I chose this recipe because I found some king boletes in Seldovia. Boletes like to grow by the oceans edge and in thick moss. In addition potatoes are used in many different foods and grow really good in Alaska.
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 cups king boletes
- 1 stick of butter
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 4 large potatoes
- half cup sour cream
- quarter cup of milk
- half a cup shredded cheese
- pinch salt, pepper, dill
PROCEDURE:
First, saute chopped boletes with half stick butter and minced garlic until lightly browned. While it’s cooking, put the whole potatoes in the oven at 400 degrees for 40 minutes to bake.
Then, cut potatoes in half and spoon insides into bolete mixture. Add all other ingredients (sour cream, butter, milk, shredded cheese, spices) and mash until creamy.
Finally, spoon bolete/potato mixture into the potato skins and top with more shredded cheese. Bake for 15 min until golden brown.
